The GL18 White Tamper-Evident Self-Seal Closure (GL18TEW-SSC) is a PEHD screw cap combining an integral tamper-evident ring with a self-sealing membrane in a single GL18 assembly. The tamper-evident ring is moulded as part of the cap body in a single injection moulding step — producing a one-piece closure where TE bridges connecting the ring to the cap body provide visible, immediate evidence of first opening. Once the bridges are broken on first use, the ring remains on the bottle neck, confirming to the end consumer that the product has not been accessed prior to purchase. The integrated self-seal membrane creates a hermetic seal against the glass bottle rim without a separate liner insert, providing reliable leak resistance and formulation protection throughout the supply chain and in consumer use.

This closure occupies a clear position in the GL18 system: it provides tamper evidence beyond the standard screw cap (GL18W-SSC) without the access-restriction function of the child-resistant CRC closures. This gives brand owners full flexibility in dispensing format without changing the bottle specification, and allows tamper evidence to be specified alongside the most appropriate dispensing insert for the formulation.

The GL18TEW-SSC is compatible with all GL18 glass dropper bottles in the BlueSky range — 5ml, 10ml, 15ml, 20ml, 30ml, 50ml, and 100ml — in both amber and clear glass. The GL18 neck standard maintains a consistent inner bore diameter of 10.65mm ± 0.15mm across all bottle volumes, meaning this closure specification does not change when bottle size changes within the range. For light-sensitive cosmetic and wellness formulations, amber glass provides UV protection that preserves formulation quality over the product’s shelf life.
