Duma Standard vs Duma Special — Which to Specify?

The Standard and Special containers share the same FDA-registered HDPE construction and handycap closure compatibility, and both are suited to liquid and dry product formats. They differ in bottle proportions, volume range and access width:

Duma Standard — taller, conventional-proportion bottles available up to 3L. Suited to liquid and dry products where standard bottle proportions are preferred for display, filling or handling — oral solutions, liquid supplements, powder supplements, capsules and bulk nutraceutical formats. The 95mm neck on larger volumes provides practical access for filling and dispensing powder and granule products at scale.

Duma Special — squatter, wider-mouth containers available up to 1.5L in white and black. The wider neck relative to container height makes access easier for solid and powder products where scooping, counting or frequent pouring is part of the consumer experience — tablets, capsules, powder supplements and similar formats where a wider opening improves usability.

Duma Twist-Off — containers with a twist-off closure format where ease of opening is the priority.

Key Features of the Duma Standard Range

Standard Bottle Proportions — Liquid and Dry Product Applications

The Standard format’s taller, conventional bottle shape is suited to both liquid and dry product formats — oral solutions, liquid vitamins, powder supplements, capsules and nutraceuticals in a range of physical forms. This format is the right choice when conventional bottle proportions are preferred over the squatter Special profile, or when the volume range up to 3L is a specification requirement. The 95mm neck on the larger SKUs provides practical access for filling powder and granule products at bulk volumes.

Volume Range: 50ml to 3L

The Standard range reaches 3L — larger than any other DUMA sub-category — making it the right choice for bulk supplement formats, professional or institutional pack sizes, and larger retail or trade formats. The range covers both small-format products at 50ml and 75ml through to bulk formats at 2L, 2.5L and 3L.

FDA-Registered HDPE

All Duma Standard containers are manufactured from HDPE that is FDA-registered for use with pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and food products. Tamper-Evident Handycap Compatibility

All Duma Standard containers are designed for use with handycap closures, providing clear tamper evidence at first opening — a standard requirement for pharmaceutical, supplement and food retail applications. Neck Sizes: 31mm, 43mm and 95mm

Three neck sizes cover the volume range from small-format products through to bulk containers. The 43mm neck suits the mid-range volumes most commonly used in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical formats; the 95mm neck suits larger bulk formats. See the neck size guidance section below.

White HDPE — All Volumes

The Duma Standard range is available in white HDPE across all nine SKUs. For black HDPE options within the DUMA range, the Duma Special sub-category includes black on selected formats.

HDPE Moisture Barrier and Chemical Resistance

HDPE provides a strong barrier against moisture vapour transmission (WVTR), protecting hygroscopic products — powders, capsules, tablets and liquid formulations — from moisture ingress during storage and distribution. Neck Size Reference

31mm — available on the 50ml and 75ml containers. Suited to small-format liquid products — sample sizes, single-dose liquids and small pharmaceutical oral solution formats.

43mm — available on the 100ml, 150ml, 200ml and 300ml containers. The most commonly stocked neck size in the Standard range, suited to standard pharmaceutical and nutraceutical formats — oral solutions, liquid vitamins, syrups, small-format powder and capsule products.
