BlueSky’s foamer pump range converts low-viscosity liquid formulations into a soft, consistent foam at the point of dispensing — delivering the user experience of a foam product without requiring an aerosol format. Available in 30mm and 43mm neck sizes in black and white, with clear and domed overcap options, the range suits foaming hand soaps, facial cleansers, body washes, shaving products and home care formulations where foam format improves application and user experience.

Key stocked SKUs are held in UK stock for fast dispatch. A scheduled order service is available for brand owners and contract fillers who need forward supply certainty.

Key Features of the Foamer Pump Range

Foam Generation at the Point of Dispensing

A foamer pump converts a diluted liquid formulation into foam as it is dispensed — no aerosol propellant, no pre-foaming required. The mechanism combines liquid and air through an internal mesh screen on each actuation, producing a consistent, soft foam texture. This allows brands to offer a foam dispensing experience from a standard pump-and-bottle format, with full control over foam density and texture through formulation.

30mm and 43mm Neck Sizes

The range covers two neck sizes that suit different foamer bottle formats. The 30mm neck is suited to standard hand soap and personal care foamer bottles, typically in the 200–350ml range. The 43mm neck suits larger or wide-neck foamer formats used in kitchen, bathroom and higher-volume applications.

Black and White Options with Overcap Styles

The range is available in black and white across both neck sizes, with clear domed overcap options on the 30mm range and clear and black cap options on the 43mm range. Overcaps protect the pump actuator between uses and are standard for foamer pumps in retail and e-commerce channels.

Polypropylene (PP) Construction

All foamer pumps in the range are constructed from polypropylene, providing good chemical compatibility with the diluted surfactant-based formulations typical of foaming hand soaps, cleansers and washes. PP construction is standard for this product type and suitable for the majority of personal care and home care foam applications.

UK Stock on Core SKUs

The 30mm white foamer pump and 43mm black foamer pump with clear cap are held in UK stock for fast dispatch. Additional SKUs are available subject to minimum order quantities.

Scheduled Order Service

For production buyers who need consistent supply, BlueSky offers a scheduled order service — allowing you to lock in forward volumes against UK-held stock. Compatible foamer bottles can be included in the same supply arrangement, removing the need to coordinate pump and bottle from separate sources.

Where Foamer Pumps Are Used

Foaming Hand Soap

The most common application for foamer pumps. Diluted liquid hand soap dispensed as foam covers the hands more evenly with less product per wash, improving the user experience and extending the effective life of the product. Widely used in both retail personal care and professional/institutional settings.

Facial Cleansers

Foaming facial cleansers are a significant and growing category in skincare. A low-viscosity cleansing formulation dispensed as foam applies evenly across the face without the need for working lather manually — preferred by many consumers for daily cleansing routines. Standard 30mm foamer pumps suit most facial cleanser bottle formats.

Body Wash

Foaming body washes — where a diluted wash formulation is converted to foam at the point of use — offer a different consumer experience to standard pump or squeeze-tube body wash formats. The foam format is perceived as higher value and can reduce product usage per application.

Shaving Products

Foaming shaving preparations in pump format are used in both men’s grooming and personal care ranges. The foamer pump delivers a consistent, soft foam directly to the face or skin without aerosol.

Hand Sanitiser

Foaming alcohol-based hand sanitisers use foamer pumps to deliver a foam format that many users find easier to apply and less drying than liquid gel. Relevant for both retail personal care and professional hygiene applications.

Home Care and Kitchen Cleaning

Surface cleansers, kitchen sprays and bathroom cleaning products in foam format use foamer pumps to deliver cleaning solution as a cling-foam that adheres to surfaces. The 43mm neck size suits the larger bottle formats typically used in this category.

Contract Filling

For contract fillers, foamer pumps are frequently specified on foaming personal care briefs from brand owner clients. The requirement to pair with a foamer bottle and use a diluted formulation means specification accuracy is important — BlueSky can supply both pump and compatible bottle as part of a single order.

FAQs

What is a foamer pump?

A foamer pump is a dispensing closure that combines liquid and air through an internal mesh screen to produce foam as the product is dispensed. It allows brands to offer a foam dispensing experience from a pump-and-bottle format, without aerosol propellants or pre-foamed formulations.

How does a foamer pump work?

A foamer pump has a two-chamber internal mechanism. One chamber draws liquid up from the bottle through the dip tube; a second draws in air. When the pump is pressed, the two are forced through a fine mesh screen inside the pump head, which creates foam. The ratio of air to liquid and the mesh specification determine the density and texture of the resulting foam.

What formulations can be used in a foamer pump?

Foamer pumps require low-viscosity, diluted liquid formulations — typically surfactant-based products diluted to around 15–20% active content. They are not suitable for thick creams, undiluted concentrates or high-viscosity gels, which will block the mesh and prevent foam formation. Common compatible formulations include diluted hand soap, foaming facial cleansers, foaming body wash, foaming hand sanitiser and home care cleaning products.

Do foamer pumps work with standard bottles?

No. Foamer pumps are designed for use with foamer bottles — which have a wider neck and specific internal construction that allows the pump’s air-intake to function correctly. A foamer pump fitted to a standard narrow-neck bottle will not produce consistent foam. BlueSky supplies compatible foamer bottles alongside the pump range.

What is the difference between a 30mm and 43mm foamer pump?

The neck size determines which foamer bottle the pump fits. The 30mm neck suits standard personal care foamer bottles used for hand soap, facial cleansers and body wash formats, typically 200–350ml. The 43mm neck suits larger or wide-neck foamer bottle formats used in kitchen, bathroom and higher-volume home care applications.

What is the difference between a foamer pump and a lotion pump?

A lotion pump delivers liquid or cream directly — typically 1–4ml per actuation — for application to skin or hair. A foamer pump delivers foam at a lower liquid volume per stroke, with air making up most of the output volume. Foamer pumps require diluted, low-viscosity formulations; lotion pumps work across a wider viscosity range including creams, serums and thicker gels.

Are foamer pumps held in UK stock?

The 30mm white foamer pump and 43mm black foamer pump with clear cap are held in UK stock for fast dispatch. Additional SKUs are available subject to minimum order quantities. Contact the team to confirm availability on specific combinations.

Can I set up a scheduled order service for foamer pumps?

Yes. BlueSky offers a scheduled order service for production buyers who need forward supply certainty, allowing you to lock in volumes in advance against UK-held stock. Contact the team to discuss your requirements.

Can BlueSky supply both foamer pumps and compatible foamer bottles?

Yes. BlueSky supplies both foamer pumps and foamer bottles in compatible neck sizes. Sourcing both from a single supplier ensures compatibility and removes the risk of mismatched components. Both can be included in a scheduled supply arrangement.

What colours and cap styles are available?

The range is available in black and white across both 30mm and 43mm neck sizes. Cap styles include clear domed overcaps on the 30mm range and clear and black cap options on the 43mm range. Customisation in additional colours is available subject to minimum order quantities — contact the team for details.
